Pain (Chronic)

Description : Pain starts with an acute injury, but when it lasts for more than 3 months, it’s considered chronic.

Symptoms : Impairs mood, relationships, sleep, sex drive, mobility, and ability to function at peak performance.Persistent pain that lasts longer than three months. Pain that is sharp, dull, aching, burning, or shooting. Pain that is present even when the affected area is not being used or touched. Fatigue and exhaustion. Sleep disturbances and insomnia. Depression and anxiety. Decreased mobility and flexibility. Loss of appetite and weight changes. Irritability and mood swings. Difficulty concentrating and focusing.

Root Causes : In TCM, chronic pain is caused by qi stagnation, blood stagnation, and weak kidney qi.
Injuries: Chronic pain can result from previous injuries that have not healed properly, such as sprains, strains, fractures, and dislocations.
Infections: Certain infections can cause chronic pain, such as osteomyelitis, a bone infection, or post-herpetic neuralgia, a complication of shingles.
Autoimmune disorders: Conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and fibromyalgia can cause chronic pain due to the inflammation they cause.
Nerve damage: Chronic pain can also result from nerve damage or neuropathy, which can be caused by conditions such as diabetes, chemotherapy, or alcoholism. Spinal problems: Issues with the spine, such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease, can cause chronic pain.
Chronic illnesses: Chronic pain can also be a symptom of other chronic illnesses, such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, and Crohn's disease.

Our Recommendation : Try having turmeric and ginger tea to see how that makes you feel. Next it would be best to try some Capsaicin cream to an applied area that you feel pain. If pain persists we suggest seeing a physical therapist or holistic doctor that can determine the root problem and the possible solutions.

Foods That Harm : Gluten, processed foods, fast food, sugar, artificial sweeteners, produce with pesticides (non-organic), dairy, meat with hormones and antibiotics (meat that is not grass-fed).

Foods That Heal :
Leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beets, pumpkin, berries, figs, kiwi, pineapple, walnuts, chia seeds, flaxseed, hemp seeds, bone broth, salmon, grass-fed beef, avocados, olive oil, coconut, green tea, turmeric, ginger, rosemary.

Natural Remedies
:
Turmeric - Reduces inflammation.
Bone Broth - Collagen builds connective tissue in joints.
CBD Oil - Alters pain pathways.
Fish Oil - Reduces inflammation.
Capsaicin Cream - Reduces substance P, a chemical pain messenger. Rub a small amount on the painful area up to 4 times daily.
Essential Oils - Rub 5 drops of wintergreen, peppermint, and/or rosemary oil mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of coconut oil on the affected area.
